it's been a while since i last updated this blog of mine. when i was not buried beneath the piles of school work and projects last semester, was plain lazy to do anything productive. 2008 came and went like the speed of light. it was hard not to blink because just when you did, another day of activities is beginning to unfold. everything is like a whirlwind of events. it's getting hard to see the stuff happening around you. i don't make plans too far ahead of time because i know i will probably not be able to keep them anyway. my life is always basically going with the flow. i base if not all my decisions with the current, taking me to where i am now. so if you are going to ask me what i plan to do in the future, i won't have a say to it. i love planning stuff but i only plan for my short term goals. that would probably include the obvious ones: passing my exams, passing this hectic semester, getting a good thesis topic and enjoying life in between work. hopefully, everything will work out well.

to be honest, i have been terrified of entering this phase in college wherein the dreaded thesis has to be taken care of. my very long christmas break had been spent like this: 50% frantic holiday activities, 50% frantic worry of school. the one major reason behind the fright might be because thesis at the state university is done individually, with the exception of really rare special cases. for centain, i know that i'm a team member. i work with teams all my CS days. throwing me into CS thesis jungle alone, i cannot imagine the circumstances. i am taking up the seasonal pre-thesis seminar this semester already so we, the irregulars, are given a chance to graduate October of this year. i just hope i graduate by that time. only time can tell what the outcome of all these would be.

i marked January 26 twice. once because we're gonna celebrate Chinese New Year on that day. twice because it's my parents 23rd wedding anniversary. double celebration, yay!
