I am once again alive from the world of the unknown! I haven't formally shared with you what I've been up to these days since I thought that my blog would be as hopeless as it can be. Now that I'm loving my blog because of its new layout, I'm going to share! Share! Share!

So anyways, you all know that I'm currently studying at the University of the Philippines, the supposedly prestigious state university in town but sadly I'm just admitted to its extension program held here in Clarkfield, Pampanga and not in Diliman. I call the place "a jungle" where I may be able to meet Tarzan and Jane. That's what I thought of first but as the saying goes "Never judge a book by its cover", never in my dreams did I see myself actually liking the place. It's not your typical average school. UP Pampanga is just like a huge run down warehouse that was just forcibly made into a school. I mean, believe it or not but what I'm saying is true. If I have time, I will take a photo of it and post it here someday. Its population approximately ranges from 500-600, from faculty to students down to maintenance included. It's such a small place and not really what I dream of. I dreamt of studying in La Salle and not in UP for godsakes! My mom wanted me to study in UP just for the sake of getting the title "iskolar ng bayan". Can you believe that? But I guess I can take it as a compliment because not all students had pass the UPCAT last year and tens of thousands were aspiring to enter UP but couldn't make it. The plan is that I have to excel in my studies and endure a year of UP Pampanga so that I may be able to transfer to Diliman the following year. Which I tell you can be dangerously hard.

I know that when you take a look at my recent notes, you might say that "Sheesh! That's just basic high school!" or something. I'm telling you this: UP professors can really be professional saddists. They will make you study some basic stuff and then give you nerve-wracking exams. Afterwards, you'd feel dazed and dizzy, you wouldn't know what to do with your life anymore. Yep. It happened to me. And to my other blockmates as well. It's a good thing my academic performance isn't that as frustrating as that of my blockmates. My grades were all in the borderline, between the passing mark and the failing mark and thank God for it! I have just received my 2nd exam result in physics yesterday and I was just 6 points away from the failing mark! Thank God for our kind prof too, for she lowered the passing score to let us pass this one.

All I can say is that in UP, I learned a lot of stuff and am still learning. Not only in studies but also in communicating with different people who grew up in different environments. And my mom is right about UP. I may not have fully adjusted with my surroundings yet but I am glad to be here. Pass and fail, I am a "iskolar ng bayan".
